The Maze Runner is a dystopian science fiction film from 2014, directed by Wes Ball in his debut as a feature film director, and is based on the 2009 novel by James Dashner. Plot

A young adolescent male finds himself waking up in an underground lift, devoid of any recollection of his identity. A considerable assembly of young males welcomes him in a spacious grassy region known as the "Glade," which is surrounded by towering stone walls. The inhabitants, referred to as the "Gladers," have established a basic society, with each member assuming specific responsibilities.
