== Plot == The narrative begins with a powerful hero, the Man of Steel, preventing the nation of Boravia from invading its neighbor, Jarhanpur, and issuing a stern warning to the Boravian leader. The hero is later defeated in his home city of Metropolis by a metahuman called the "Hammer of Boravia." He retreats to his isolated polar fortress, accompanied by his superpowered dog, Krypto. An ally of the billionaire villain Lex Luthor, a technological expert known as the Engineer, secretly follows them. Inside the fortress, automated systems heal the hero with concentrated solar energy. He is then comforted by a message from his alien parents, which was sent with him to Earth. The message was damaged in transit, and only the first half can be played. After recovering, the Man of Steel returns to Metropolis, where he is again bested by the Hammer, who is revealed to be a clone created by Luthor, called Ultraman. The hero agrees to an interview with a reporter, Lois Lane, who is also his girlfriend. The interview turns into an argument when Lois presses him on the ethical implications of his actions abroad. Luthor unleashes a giant monster in Metropolis as a diversion, allowing him and his team to infiltrate the fortress. They subdue the automated defenses, capture Krypto, and recover the alien message, which the Engineer repairs. While the hero battles the monster with a team of other powered individuals, Luthor broadcasts the full alien message. The hero is shocked by the second half of the message, in which his parents urge him to conquer Earth. Public opinion turns against the hero. Lois, however, remains supportive, and the hero confesses his love for her before surrendering to the government. He is transferred to Luthor's custody and held in a pocket universe. Trapped alongside another metahuman, the hero is rendered powerless when Luthor forces his fellow captive to use his abilities to create a weakness against him. After witnessing Luthor murder one of his supporters, the captive helps the hero, Krypto, and his own child escape. Lois enlists another hero to help rescue them from the pocket universe. The hero is then taken to his adoptive parents for recuperation and advice. Meanwhile, Luthor's associate, Eve, provides evidence of Luthor's crimes to a news photographer. In retaliation, Luthor imprisons Eve and creates a dimensional rift that splits Metropolis in half. The hero dispatches his allies to stop another invasion attempt by Boravia. In Metropolis, the hero and his ally fight Luthor's team. After defeating the Engineer, the hero learns the truth about Ultraman. With Krypto's help, the hero defeats Ultraman and throws him into a black hole. At Luthor's headquarters, the hero's ally closes the rift. Luthor reveals that he orchestrated the entire conflict out of envy for the hero's public image. Following a confrontation, Luthor is finally subdued. Lois and her colleague publish Luthor's schemes, clearing the hero's name. Luthor is arrested, his associates are freed, and Lois and the hero admit their love for each other. The film ends with the hero's cousin arriving to collect Krypto, and the hero finds comfort in footage of his childhood.
