==Overview== Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers is a 2002 American-produced made-for-television sci-fi/action film starring Dylan Neal, Andreas Katsulas, Alex Zahara, and Myriam Sirois. It was directed by Michael Vejar. It was alternatively known as Babylon 5: To Live and Die in Starlight. The Legend of the Rangers was the fifth film in the Babylon 5 Franchise and was set chronologically after the fifth season of the Babylon 5 TV series but before the fourth film; Babylon 5: A Call to Arms and the sequel TV series; Crusade. Like its predecessor, The Legend of the Rangers was a TV movie pilot for an ongoing TV series based in the Babylon 5 Universe. However lackluster ratings and response resulted in not being picked up. They are the few. They are the proud keepers of a glorious legacy that stretches back thousands of years. They are the Rangers. And they are Legends. For Rangers are renowned on the battlefield. To be a Ranger comes with one expectation. They are not called upon to win every battle. Nor are they expected to succeed in every mission. To be a Ranger ... means that they will die in the line of duty. Except for one. For Captain David Martell, he is the Rangers' greatest disgrace. For when it came to dying in the line of duty ... he believed that it was his duty to run away to bring the vital intelligence he possessed home. But few Rangers honor his "interpretation" of duty and has been regulated to escort duty ... in reality, punishment detail on a mission of little importance. But a dangerous new threat endangers the entire mission and once more places Martell with a choice. To run? Or to finally die as his oath as a Ranger entails?
